Local construction company GVK - Siya zama Building Contractors (EP) (Pty) Ltd is assisting Sophakama to establish a new container on site in Joe Slovo Township and will project manage the installation of the container as well as handle any building and painting requirements on site.

Sophakama expands Child Care Support Programme
Sophakama partners with TDH and NACOSA in the provision of support to orphans and vulnerable children in Joe Slovo Township. The current Children's Support Programme (2011 – 2013) has recently been expanded to also provide a material allowance to each enrolled child as well as nutritional support and pyscho-social support.
Sophakama Strategy and Monitoring and Evaluation Framework 2012
During 2012, Sophakama with the assistance of one of its key partners, Oxfam, commissioned consultants to establish a three year strategic plan and a monitoring and evaluation framework for the organisation.
